THE PROPHECIES:

Michel de Nostradame was the greatest prophet
the world has ever seen. Born on Dec. 14, 1503 in France into
a distinguished family, he undertook a successful academic
career, studying amongst other things, the sciences of medicine
and astrology.
Nostradamus is famous for his chilling and often
eerily accurate quatrains (cryptic four-line verses), which
foretell of great suffering and cataclysmic destruction throughout
the centuries following his death.
These morbid prophecies may have been influenced
by his experiences in living through the Black Plague which
swept through Europe and his own home of Remy, Provence.
Nostradamus first began writing in 1554, recording
his visions of the future into ten sections called Centuries,
each with 100 verses.
While skeptics claim that much of his writing
is open to interpretation, the fact remains that many of his
predictions have come true in one form or another, and with
stunning accuracy in some cases. Nostradamus reportedly even
predicted his own death the night before he passed away on
July 2, 1566.
